Price list of consular services
UNIFIED PRICE LIST OF CONSULAR FEES OF THE DIPLOMATIC AND CONSULAR MISSIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (effective as of July 6, 2026)
Pursuant to the Law on Republic Administrative Fees (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 43/2003, 51/2003–corr., 61/2005, 101/2005–other law, 5/2009, 54/2009, 50/2011, 93/2012, 65/2013–other law, 83/2015, 112/2015, 113/2015, 113/2017, 3/2018–corr., 95/2018, 86/2019, 90/2019–corr., 144/2020, 62/2021–adjusted dinar amounts, 138/2022, 54/2023–adjusted dinar amounts, 92/2023, 59/2024–adjusted dinar amounts, 63/2024–amendments to adjusted dinar amounts, 94/2024, 55/2025–adjusted dinar amounts, and 109/2025), the Government Decision on the Foreign Currencies in Which Republic Administrative Fees Are Paid at Diplomatic and Consular Missions and the Exchange Rate for Converting Dinar Fees into Foreign Currency (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 49/2025), the Regulation on the Price of Passport and Visa Forms and the Costs of Delivering Passports through Diplomatic or Consular Missions of the Republic of Serbia (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 8/08, 3/09, 30/13, and 8/20), and the Rulebook on the Types of Special Services Provided by Diplomatic and Consular Missions, the Amount of Fees for Special Services, and the Method of Recording Revenue from Collected Consular Fees (Official Gazette of the Republic of Serbia, No. 104/2024), the following Price List of Consular Fees is hereby established.

NOTE: If a passport is declared invalid at the time an application for a new passport is submitted, no fee for special services shall be charged, pursuant to Article 10, paragraphs 2 and 4
NOTE: The Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted a Conclusion on March 16, 2012, exempting persons from the region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Hungary, Romania, and Albania) from paying administrative fees and special service charges in proceedings for the acquisition and termination of the citizenship of the
Republic of Serbia. The Republic of Serbia shall bear the costs of the administrative fees and special service charges. THIS EXEMPTION APPLIES ONLY TO PERSONS RESIDING IN THE TERRITORY OF THE REGION, and not to those residing in the receiving state (the United States).
For a decision concerning the simultaneous admission to, acquisition of, or release from the citizenship of the Republic of Serbia for members of the same family (a spouse, a minor child, or an unemployed child up to 26 years of age), the prescribed consular fee for one decision shall be charged in the amount of USD 36.
The reduced fee applies to refugees and displaced persons from the territory of the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SFRY), as well as internally displaced persons from the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija (APKM), upon presentation of the appropriate documents establishing their status.
A Certificate of Life is issued at the prescribed fee ONLY FOR PRESENTATION TO THE AUTHORITIES OF THE REPUBLIC OF SERBIA. For use in all other countries of the region, the fee applicable shall be the fee for certification of a signature on a document, in the amount of USD 43.
General exemptions from payment of fees
Article 18.
The following are exempt from the payment of administrative fees:
- Authorities, organizations, and institutions of the Republic of Serbia;
- Authorities and organizations of the autonomous provinces and units of local self-government;
- Mandatory social insurance organizations;
- Institutions established by the Republic of Serbia, autonomous provinces, or units of local self-government; Churches and religious communities registered in accordance with the Law on Churches and Religious Communities;
- The Red Cross of Serbia;
- Diplomatic and consular missions of foreign states, subject to reciprocity;
- Owners or holders of cultural property or property under preliminary protection, in matters relating to the protection, use, or disposition of such cultural property or property under preliminary protection.
Article 19.
No administrative fee shall be charged for:
- Documents and official actions in proceedings conducted ex officio;
- Documents and official actions relating to the refund of overpaid or erroneously paid public revenues, including reimbursement or restitution of public revenues;
- Documents and official actions relating to the correction of errors in administrative decisions, other official documents, and official records;
- Applications for entry into civil registries and the supporting documents required to accompany such applications;
- Applications and supporting documents relating to the assessment of public revenues, proceedings for the reduction of cadastral income due to natural disasters, plant diseases, pests, or other extraordinary events, and documents and official actions relating to the exercise of statutory tax incentives and exemptions;
- Documents and official actions relating to the exercise of rights arising from mandatory social insurance, social welfare, veterans' and disability protection, protection of civilian war invalids, and rights regulated by legislation governing financial support to families with children;
- Documents and official actions relating to preschool, primary, secondary and higher education, student education, professional training, and retraining;
- Documents, official actions, and supporting documents relating to the regulation of military service obligations;
- Documents and official actions in burial proceedings;
- Submissions addressed to authorities responsible for petitions and complaints;
- Documents and official actions relating to the establishment of employment and the exercise of employment-related rights;
- Submissions to the Public Prosecutor's Office;
- Documents and official actions exempted from fees pursuant to an international treaty;
- Petitions for clemency and decisions rendered thereon;
- Documents and official actions relating to the preparation and correction of voter registers and candidate lists;
- Documents and official actions specifically exempted under the Fee Schedule;
- Certificates confirming the receipt of an application;
- Certificates of finality or enforceability affixed to an administrative act.
In proceedings before diplomatic and consular missions, no fee shall be charged for:
- Documents and official actions relating to the protection of the rights of citizens of the Republic of Serbia abroad and the representation of citizens of the Republic of Serbia in connection with measures contrary to international treaties, principles of international law, or customary international law;
- Courtesy visas, i.e., visas issued in foreign diplomatic passports, official/service passports, and passports issued by international organizations recognized by the Republic of Serbia, subject to reciprocity.
Increase in the fee tariff from Section B:
Where a diplomatic or consular mission provides consular services to nationals of third countries with which the Republic of Serbia has concluded an agreement, memorandum, or similar arrangement concerning the provision of consular services, the fee for each consular service listed in Section B shall be increased by 100%, unless otherwise provided by such agreement.
Where a foreign state charges visa fees higher than those prescribed by the Law on Republic Administrative Fees, nationals of that state shall, on the basis of reciprocity, be charged the same amount, in accordance with the instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Sector for Consular Affairs.
The following categories of visa applicants do not pay a visa fee:
- Children under six years of age;
- Pupils, students, lecturers, and researchers invited by authorities or organizations of the Republic of Serbia for the purposes of education, study, teaching, or professional training;
- Persons arriving in the Republic of Serbia through humanitarian organizations for the purpose of providing humanitarian assistance;
- Participants in cultural, educational, sporting, and similar events, subject to reciprocity;
- Persons entering the Republic of Serbia for urgent medical treatment, disaster relief, participation in economic development assistance projects, or the provision of donations for cultural, educational, scientific, technological, sporting, or similar purposes;
- Holders of diplomatic and official/service passports of other states, subject to reciprocity, as well as holders of passports issued by international organizations;
- Nationals of countries with which the Republic of Serbia has concluded an agreement providing for the issuance of visas without payment of a consular fee.
In the event of non-reciprocal treatment of citizens of the Republic of Serbia by another state in terms of the amount of the visa fee, the fee for the corresponding visa under this tariff number issued to citizens of that state shall be paid in the amount that that state charges for the corresponding visa to citizens of the Republic of Serbia, and at least in the amount of the fee for the corresponding visa prescribed by this tariff number.
